Marti's Art
Plaster Casts

This artwork is created using plaster cloth or strips. The same type that is used in making casts for broken bones. I make an actual cast of a person's body - then attach it to a canvas. I then gesso and paint the cast using acrlylics. These "hanging sculptures" are actually very light weight as they are hollow.
